Dr. Kebekus et Zimmermann was founded on January 01, 2001, when Attorney and insolvency law specialist Dr. Frank Kebekus and Attorney Ralf Zimmermann formed a partnership in Düsseldorf. The original location in Düsseldorf has now been joined by offices in Aachen, Paderborn, Dortmund, Bochum, Mönchengladbach and Berlin.
We act exclusively in the field of commercial law, with an emphasis on insolvency and restructuring. Founding partner Dr. Frank Kebekus has worked for twenty years exclusively in the field of restructuring and insolvency law and has been appointed as administrator by various courts in Germany in several hundred insolvency cases. Ralf Zimmermann has likewise worked in insolvency law for seventeen years and has extensive experience in this field. The firm currently employs forteen qualified lawyers and around fifty support staff and is presently acting on behalf of nine judicial districts.
One of the main emphases of the firm’s work is on supporting complex corporate restructuring processes. This applies in particular to international concerns. The firm has amassed considerable experience in this area, having been involved in the first European insolvency case in which conflicting administration orders were handed down by courts in England, France and Germany (“ISA-Daisytek”). Dr. Kebekus et Zimmermann has for many years occupied a leading position in Germany.
Both in handling insolvency proceedings and in organizing and supporting extrajudicial corporate restructuring programmes, the firm attaches great value to an interdisciplinary approach. For this reason we have developed an extensive network of contacts with other undertakings which can be called upon at any time. Our contacts include auditors, experts and trustees, real estate specialists, interim managers and media consultants.
